Good news. VCU has invited me to hold a book signing for A Different Kind of Courage, One Man's
Triumph Over Paralysis on Friday, Feb. 24, from noon until 2 p.m, at its Barnes & Noble campus bookstore at 1111 W. Broad Street. This is a basketball game day for VCU so if you are out and about please come by.
I'd love some company!
VCU is offering the book at both of its campus bookstores under the local authors/faculty section. Donald Bridges Jr. was initially treated at VCU's hospital after his initial spinal cord injury, and he finished his graduate degree in health administration from what was then the Medical College of Virginia, now known as VCU Health System. The hospital continues to offer training in spinal cord injury through its Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which is part of the VCU School of Medicine.
